Kairos Palestine is a Palestinian Christian ecumenical movement rooted in the historic Moment of Truth document issued in 2009. Born from the lived reality of suffering, steadfast faith, and the longing for justice, the Kairos Palestine movement raises a prophetic voice against the ongoing oppression in Palestine. The original Kairos Document stands as the collective word of Palestinian Christians to the world; a cry of hope grounded in love, prayer, and unwavering faith in God. It speaks first to our own Palestinian community and then calls upon churches and Christians everywhere to reject injustice and apartheid, and to work courageously for a just and lasting peace.
For sixteen years, this commitment has guided our work, shaped our theology, and sustained our advocacy. On 14 November 2025, and in response to the genocide, ethnic cleansing and forced displacement which has unfolded before the eyes of the world for th past 2 years, Kairos Palestine launches its second major document: “A Moment of Truth: Faith in a Time of Genocide.”
This new Kairos document provides a renewed theological and spiritual reading of the Palestinian and global reality. It describes our present as a time of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacement unfolding before the eyes of the world. It affirms that this moment demands a new stance—one of faith, truth, and responsibility.
"We live now in a time of genocide, ethnic cleansing and forced displacement unfolding before the eyes of the world. This moment demands from us a new stand, one unlike any before it. It is both a decisive moment and a moment of truth. Today, we renew our stand for truth and our commitment to fundamental religious, theological and moral principles. We look at our reality and take a renewed stand, responding to the voice of the Holy Spirit deep within us, listening to the call of faith in this time of genocide. We renew our message of faith, hope, and love — offering a faith-inspired vision for the time after genocide."
